Karl E. Wondrak’s Profile


Karl E. Wondrak is the Founder, President and Managing Partner of the MINCON Group.  He is a seasoned professional with thirty years of business, business development and information technology experience.  As an independent consultant, he specializes in leadership development, information technology strategy alignment, custom system integration projects, all facets of project and program management, IT turnaround management, cross cultural engagements and performing assessments in variety of business and IT disciplines.  Karl has experience working in Canada, Mexico, Latin America, South America, United Kingdom and Europe.  He has a unique ability to understand the business environment and translate this knowledge to an information technology perspective. 

While working at GMAC Residential Capital (ResCap), his ten year career was fast tracked from Director, to a Executive Information Officer, to Executive Vice President of Global Real Estate and lastly, to President of Mortgage Intelligence, a subsidiary of GMAC ResCap and the largest mortgage broker in Canada. He conducted due diligences in all the countries mentioned previously for mergers, acquisitions and strategic alliances.  Karl initiated several new programs while at ResCap:  Technology Partners which bartered technology solutions for loan volume; the Global Development Program which taught employees to function in a global marketplace; implemented the Y2K program for over 220 locations internationally; and chartered their business recovery program for the world headquarters. 

 In 1988 Karl was recruited by Hewlett-Packard (HP) to initiate their entry into the professional services industry.  During his ten year career, he became one of their first Senior Program Managers. He personally trained five hundred project and program managers around the US on their proprietary methodology, the Hewlett Packard Custom Project Life Cycle. His expertise was utilized to sell and negotiate major custom integration projects.  He successfully implemented strategic projects/programs, turnaround failing multi-million dollar projects/programs and was assigned by key HP executives to support several major accounts for specialized initiatives. 

Throughout his career, Karl has performed successfully in multiple corporate disciplines:  sales, marketing, information technology, human capital, cross cultural, training, mergers/acquisitions, corporate real estate and mortgage banking.
